2021年に桂川さいとう内科循環器クリニックを桂川街道、下津林に開院いたします。1998年に大学を卒業後は循環器内科としてカテーテル治療にたずさわってまいりました。カテーテル治療は離れて循環器疾患の予防、生活習慣病の治療、かかりつけの内科医として力を尽くしていきたいと考えております。

小倉記念病院で延吉先生と出会い循環器内科を志しました。

妻、子供4人、ウサギ2匹と暮らしています。

筋トレ、競技プログラミング(やっと茶色コーダーになりました)、どちらも素人ですが楽しみながらやっています。

研究、診療業績

心血管治療機器研究グループを立ち上げ、数値流体解析を用いた冠動脈血流解析、3Dプリンター、経皮的大動脈弁狭窄置換術、医療機器開発について研究していました。研究環境にも恵まれ多くの助成金を頂き数十本の論文を発表する機会に恵まれました。

診療では病棟医長の他に血管造影室責任者、ハートチーム責任者を務めさせて頂きました。臨床研究で主に大動脈弁狭窄症、冠循環生理について研究していました。ハートチームを代表して京大病院臨牀懇話会で発表させて頂きました。

またJAICAのプロジェクトで経皮的僧帽弁交連切開術(PTMC)を開発された井上寛治先生とバングラデシュ、エチオピア、ケニアなどでカテーテル治療の普及、指導に当たらせて頂きました。発展途上国での診療は機材の制限もありますが多くのことを学ぶことができました。
